Theresa Plourde Voisine of Newington passed away on January 15, 2016. She was the wife of the late Herby (Bee) Voisine. They were married 57 years. She was born in Wallagrass, Maine on April 20, 1929. She was predeceased by her parents Fred and Anna (Beaulieu) Plourde. Theresa was a devoted wife, sister, aunt and friend. Her passion for her family and friends were unparalleled. She loved to knit, crochet, make blankets and quilts, and play cards. Her handiwork was beautiful and her family and friends were the recipients of these items. She enjoyed preparing batches of corton which was enjoyed by all who knew her. Theresa was known as “Mother Theresa”. She was a very caring and generous woman. She was blessed with beautiful blue twinkling eyes, expanding smile and a heart of gold. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Newington and was a member of the French Ladies of St. Anne in New Britain. Theresa was predeceased by her brothers, Louis, Edmund, Wilfrid and Normand Plourde, as well as her sister Jacqueline Lajoie. Theresa leaves her siblings to mourn her, Leopaul Plourde and his wife, Dora of New Britain, Elmer Plourde of ME, Mary Oakes of Newington, and Bernadette Plourde Rodrigue and her husband John of ME. She also leaves all of her brothers and sisters-in-laws, special nieces and nephews and friends whom she loved so much. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at the Jefferson House for the exceptional care and compassion that they shared with her.
