ROSELLITheresa M. “Terry” (nee Schweikert), age 72, of Springfield, formerly of Holmes, on April 26th, beloved Mother passed away after a long fought battle to live for her family, whom she loved more then anything in this world. She cherished her husband of 52 years of marriage, her eight children, her 18 grandchildren, and we can’t forget Gizmo, her cat. Family was everything to her and she was everything to us. Mom was always a hard worker, even up until her illness would not allow her to be and even then she kept fighting. Mom’s best friend Rosemary, her best friend since grade school, told us mom had always wanted to be a statistician because of her love of numbers. Mom excelled in everything she did including running a household, owning a bakery, managing an office, and bookkeeping. Mom loved to sing and had a beautiful, strong, angelic voice that would resonate all over the church. Of course being children, we would be embarrassed when people would look to see who was singing with such a powerful beautiful voice. How we long to hear and enjoy that voice now. Mom was an avid reader of her Harlequin romance novels. She loved the belief of Love. Mom had many aliases through the years. One of them was Mother Theresa as she always allowed many of our friends through the years to live with us during their days of need, even when we were just getting by. No matter what, there was always enough food for everyone that came through our door, Mom never turned any one away. Mom was also our peacekeeper, making sure everyone did not forget that family is everything. Mom was our glue. Another alias was the Encyclopedia Britannica, Mom was our high speed internet, she was the one that we called with business questions, household questions, and everything else that came up in our lives. Aunt Roe (Rosemary) always said “I don’t know how your mother did it, raising eight children, with everyone being happy and prosperous in their lives.” Mom was our hero, our idol, our best friend, she was our air that we breathe. We now heart in hand, take the knowledge, wisdom and the love she taught us to celebrate and cherish her as the angel she is. We love you Mom always and forever.
