Theresa L. (Gillis) Miller Labriola, 77, of Bristol, passed away at Plainville Health Care Center on Friday, January 5, 2007. She was born on April 8, 1929 in Bristol, daughter of the late Gervais and Mary Lillian (Cameron) Gillis.
Theresa is survived by her daughter, Jo-Ann Miller of Plainville; her three sisters and two brothers-in-law, M. Gertrude Vail of Southington, Cindy and Anthony Siranni of Bristol and Marion and Andrew Bevivino of Bristol; her grandchildren, Jacqueline Capezio, Kristin Capezio, Amanda Velletri, Kyle Kearin and Rene Girardin; her stepchildren, Karen L. Procko, Robert Labriola and Paul Labriola. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Theresa was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Miller, her second husband, Francis Labriola; her daughters, Susan (Miller) Girardin, Robin (Miller) Kearin, and Nancy (Miller) Capezio; and her brother, J. Elmer Gillis.
Theresa, daughter, wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, sister, aunt and good friend to many, will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. She led a very active life in the community of Bristol, having been a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Bristol Senior Center and the Bristol Women’s Club, where she was Treasurer and a former Woman of the Year. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed playing cards with her friends, bowling, and playing Bingo.
