Theodore Roosevelt Daviss Jr was born to the parentage of Theodore Roosevelt Daviss Sr and Zepher Lee Burks Daviss on August 24th 1942 in Houston Texas. He was the oldest of 12 siblings which in turn he gave himself the title of #1 son.
Theodore attended grade and high school in various cities such as Phoenix, AZ and Navasota, TX where he received his high school diploma. Along his journey in life he earned many titles; college graduate with an associates degree in business from Ulster Community College of New York, state certified licensed cosmetologist in Texas, Arizona, Georgia, Tennessee and Arkansas, Beauty Inspector for the State of Tennessee, licensed and certified Ombudsman and Phlebotomist, ordained minister from Whole Armour Church to name a few. But the title that he lived for was Daddy.
Theodore accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized in the New Home Baptist Church in Phoenix, Az at a very early age.
Theodore lived life with no regrets nor limits. One thing we can say for sure is that “He did it his way”. Theodore’s love for people was addicting along with contagious. Whether interacting with complete strangers or life long friends and family members he was never to busy to lend an ear, offer words of encouragement or just a hug with his signature catch line “keep on smiling”.
One of his joys later in life was becoming a member of the Hospital and Bread ministries through the Potters House in Dallas, Texas of which he was a devout member.
