Theodore R. Lepley, 83, of 791 State Route 973 East, Cogan Station, died Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Ted and his wife, the former Dorothy M. Blauvelt, celebrated their 61st anniversary this past Friday, February 25th.

Ted had worked at Textron, was a registered land surveyor for 19 years at Penn DOT and retired from Norcen Industries. He was a Williamsport High School graduate, an Army veteran, a member of Hesbon Park United Methodist Church, Ivy Lodge #397 Free & Accepted Masons, the Williamsport Bicycle Club and the Wheel Inn.

Ted’s favorite hobby was bicycling and he enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family.

Born September 18, 1927 in Beaver Springs, he was the son of Wilbur and Blanche Kline Lepley.

Surviving besides his wife, are three sons, Steven C. (Susan) Lepley of Cogan Station, Mark A. (Mary) Lepley of Williamsport and Roger B. (Leslie) Lepley of Pine Grove Mills; three brothers, George (Patty) Lepley and Donald (Arladine) Lepley both of Cogan Station and Raymond (Pat) Lepley of Liberty; a sister, Helen (Richard) Mitchley of Cogan Station; seven grandchildren, Kelly Stevens, Nathan, Joel, Melinda, Maggie, Elsa and Catherine Lepley and three great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Zachary and Emma Mae Stevens.

Ted was predeceased by a sister, Esther Irwin.
