Theodore L. Fischetti, 89

Troy Theodore L. Fischetti, 89,of Pawling Avenue, died Saturday, July 9, 2005 at his residence after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Bernard Fischetti and Mary (Rich) Fischetti and husband for 61 years of Helen Custo Fischetti.

He had resided in Troy all his life and was a graduate of Troy High School.

Mr. Fischetti was a welder for Howe Brothers in Center Brunswick and later worked for the Rensselaer County Highway Department and more recently in security at Emma Willard School.

He was an active member of the Emerald Athletic Club in Troy and a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Troy. He was an avid NY Yankee’s fan. As a Marine Corp veteran in World War II, he was awarded a Purple Heart being the first soldier wounded at Guadalcanal.
