Thelma V. Whitcomb, a life-long Deary area resident, died Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Precious Elders Family Home in Pullman. She was 82. Thelma was born August 17, 1932 at Avon, the ninth child of Joseph and Jessie White Taylor. She grew up and started school at Deary, then to Moscow, graduating from Moscow High School in 1950. She then attended Kinman Business College in Lewiston. On Saturday, January 6, 1955, she and Allan L. Whitcomb were married in Coeur d’Alene. Their honeymoon lasted until Monday when Allan had to be back to work! They made their home in Deary where she was a homemaker and raised her family.
