Thelma Rathke Sheridan of Pueblo West was called home by the Lord on September 17, 2015. Born May 2, 1933 in Houston, Missouri, she is preceded in death by her parents E.C. and Helen Hancock; her first husband Henry “Alan Rathke”; brothers, William and Robert Hancock; and step-mother, Ethel Sheridan. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Merle “Lee” Sheridan; children, Harry (Janeice) Rathke, Gail (Joe) Gindro, and Susie (Dan) Vliek; grandchildren, Wendi (Bob) Morris, Rachel (Jamie) Pierce, Sarah Gindro, David (Jessica) Rathke, Jennifer (Mick) Spaulding, Amy (Kerry) Reed, and Ben (Drea) Rathke; 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Wands and Lana Chapman; brothers, Larry and David Hancock; Uncle Harry Keith Potts and Aunt Betty Sue Crow; numerous brother and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and a multitude of close and loving friends. Thelma lived her 82 years to the fullest as a rancher and a photographer’s wife; an artist herself who has shared her artistic talents through art shows, teaching her grandchildren and great grandchildren and sharing her paintings with many family, friends and art showings. She served as president of the Fremont County 4-H board and was active with her children in 4-H in for many years. She had a deep love for Schnauzers that blessed her life. Her great sense of humor and deep love for family and friends was insurmountable and she will be greatly missed by all.
