Thelma R. Reynolds McFarland, 96, Anderson, passed away August 9, 2009 at her residence after an extended illness. She was born March 12, 1913 in Anderson, Indiana, the third of six children born to Elsie and Ozro Reynolds. Thelma lived in Anderson all of her life, wintering in Florida for several years. She had many close and loving friends in Florida and Indiana.
She retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 28 years of service. She was a member of the Lady Elks and Widow Elks. Mother was deeply loved and cared for by her children and Sharon and Teresa until the end. She will be loved and cherished forever by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Donald Forrer of Anderson, Sally Thomas Tharp of Anderson and William Cindy Wallace of Anderson; sister, Helen Ogden; step-children, Joann Bruce Poore of Greensburg and Dan Barbara McFarland of Florida; eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and father of her children, Robert Wallace; husbands, John Henry Meyers and Charles McFarland; her mother, Elsie Anderson Reynolds; father, Ozro Reynolds; daughter, Nina Jo Wallace; siblings, Virgil, Charles, Everett Reynolds and Ershel Shuck.
