Thelma M. (Phillips) Parry, 91, of Peru, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Heritage Healthcare Center in Peru. Mrs. Parry was born May 19, 1924, in Peru to Thomas Jefferson and Emma Caroline (Hutt) Phillips.
She graduated from LaSalle-Peru High School. She married Harold J. Parry on August 6, 1947, in Peru. She was an active member of the First Congregational Church in Peru where she served as financial secretary for many years. Her family, especially her grandsons, was her greatest joy.
Survivors include two sons, Curtis (Jan) Parry of Naperville and Kent (Vivian) Parry of Crystal Lake; four grandsons, Nick (Angela), Sam (Ellen Chambers), Thomas and Grant Parry; two great-granddaughters, Isabella and Gianna, and her dear friend, John Moreland of Peru.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harold on March 28, 1988.
