Thelma Joan Milliken Miller Thornburg, 81, of New Carlisle, IN, passed away at 2:11 p.m., Friday, November 11, 2005, in Memorial Hospital. Thelma was born on September 8, 1924 in South Bend, IN, to Edward Miles Milliken and Ruth Whetsler. She was formerly employed with the South Bend Airport, South Bend Country Club, George Wyman Company, and REAL Services. On December 24, 1942, she married Charles Russell Miller who preceded her in death. On July 3, 1953, she married Donald Ray Pinky Thornburg who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were one granddaughter, Dorna Chaucer, and two brothers, Malcom Bud Milliken and Richard Lee. Survivors include four daughters, Molly (Jim) Chaucer of Las Vegas, NV, Jill (Barry) Ainsworth of Flagstaff, AZ, Lori (Craig) Lechlitner of Mishawaka, IN, Jackie DiGildo of Chino Hills, CA; one son, Bruce Miller of Fontana, CA; twelve grandchildren, Kelly (Steve) Johnson, Todd (Julie) Bellot, Scott (Rebeca) Bellot, Donald Miller, Jolene Miller, Andrea (Raul) Guitterez, Karissa Ainswoth, Evan Ainsworth, Amanda Lechlitner, Kyle Lechlitner, Melissa Lechlitner, John Ryan DiGildo; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jackie Bates Veith and Elizabeth (Bob) Bonebrake, both of New Carlisle, IN; and many nieces and nephews.
