Thelma Jane (Patterson) Hylton, 90, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2012 at her residence in Nahelam, Oregon. Thelma was born somewhere between July 15th, and July 19, 1921 in Cedar Creek, Missouri to Robert A. and Carrie J. Patterson.
Thelma’s family came west when she was six years old and settled in New Plymouth, Idaho in 1927. She attended school in New Plymouth and in her late teens she was the Payette County Cherry Blossom Queen.
Thelma married Lyle Hylton on September 3, 1939 in New Plymouth where they resided for 43 years until Lyle’s death.
In October of 2011 Thelma moved to the Oregon Coast to be close to her daughter, granddaughter and great-granddaughter.
Thelma is survived by her son, Steve Hylton and his wife Karen of Boise; two daughters, Sharyn Heeb of Manzania, OR, and Judy Rynearson of Emmett; grandchildren, Tim and Tony Rynearson, Shelly Johnson, Shanna Fuson, Susy Brooks, Zack Hylton, and Carrie Negrette; eleven great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, one brother, and two son-in-laws.
