Rev. Frederick M. Wiggins, 54, of Middletown, departed this life for life everlasting on Sunday, June 29th at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. Born in Ahoskie, North Carolina, he was the son of Willie E. White, Sr. and the late Lillie Mae Wiggins. Rev. Wiggins received his early formal education in North Carolina before moving to Connecticut in 1971. In 1982, Rev. Wiggins was ordained to the gospel ministry by Bishop Ozzie Mason and in 1989 he was consecrated to the Pastorate by the late Pastor Bert Dumont. Rev. Wiggins was a member of the Everlasting Faith Ministries in Middletown and was employed by the State of CT retiring in 1996. Rev. Wiggins was married to the love of his life for 31 years, Helen White Wiggins and he was the father of five children. Besides his wife, he leaves his father and step-mother, Willie and Beulah Mae White; two sons, Atiba (Cortnie) Wiggins of Meriden and Joseph Mullins of Middletown; three daughters, Quatima, Monica, and Crystal Wiggins; an adopted daughter, Leondra White, all of Middletown; five brothers, Linwood Wiggins of Meriden, Melverne, Reggie, Eric, and Willie White all of Virginia; three sisters, Jacqueline White of Meriden, Willie Mae Sampson and Ramona Turner all of Virginia; three grandsons, Michael, Nathaniel, and Osiah Wiggins all of Middletown; one granddaughter, Nia Harris of Meriden and a host of family and friends. Besides his mother, he was predeceased by a sister, Hilda G. Wiggins and two brothers, Donald and Irvin Wiggins.
