Terry Lee Davis, age 72, of Cassopolis, died peacefully early Wednesday morning, November 27, 2019 in the comfort of his family’s presence.
He was born February 25, 1947 in South Bend, Indiana, the oldest of three children of Sherman and Mary Davis. He married Theodora Ann Birmele February 14, 1991 in Cassopolis, Michigan.
Terry loved spending time with family, especially playing cards. He liked being outside and reading countless books. He could devour a book a day. Even while battling cancer, Terry laughed at life because of his strong faith.
Terry will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his wife of almost twenty-nine years, Ann Davis of Cassopolis; children, Windy (Ron) Proctor of Cassopolis, Buffy Davis of Dowagiac, Karrie (Micah) Davis-Tartt of Dowagiac, Kate (Ken) Swift of Parrish, Florida, Roland J. Gillette, Jr. of Dover, Delaware, Jaime (Chad) Simon of Three Rivers, David (Suzy) Gillette of Tracey, California; sixteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister, Deborah (Bob) Mortimore of Cassopolis; one brother, Larry (Patty) Davis of Marcellus; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
