On Thursday February 4, 2021, Terry Crowley, 68, of Scottsdale, Arizona, devoted son, loving husband, beloved brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away after a long battle with COPD.

Terry grew up in an Air Force family and spent much of his youth moving from base to base with his five siblings during their father’s 30 year military career. Each new assignment presented many challenges but Terry saw it as just another opportunity for adventure and exploration.

His zest for life, continual thirst for knowledge, and indomitable spirit were well known among his family and friends. An avid hiker, he explored much of Arizona’s back country, always finding some new and fascinating place to investigate. His love for the outdoors extended all the way to Alaska, where he enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips with his son, daughter, and younger brother. Although Terry lost the use of one arm in his early 20’s, it never slowed him down. He did not regard it as a handicap and did everything anyone else could do, usually better. He always said that it was just God’s way of leveling the playing field for everyone else. As all who knew him could attest, he was exceptionally quick-witted and had an extremely good sense of humor. Among his many talents, he was an expert pool player, skilled back-country hiker, talented golfer, extremely competent fisherman, and lover of dogs, especially his faithful Australian Shepard, “Honey.” He especially enjoyed Sunday dinners at his mom’s and playing cribbage with his “Darlin” Rebecca.

Terry is survived by his mother Bee, wife Rebecca, son Dane, daughter Amy, grandchildren Katy, Morgan, Darby, and Aiden, great grandson Micah, sister Ann, brothers John, Tim, and Patrick, numerous cousins, an aunt, and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his father Col. John “Jack” Crowley and sister Kathleen Page.
