TERESA YVONNE SPINKS daughter of the late John Lester Spinks & Rev. Betty Ruth Simmons was born May 30th, 1959 in Moore County, NC. Teresa departed this life September 25th, 2019 at the Reid Heart Center; Pinehurst, NC.
Teresa was a member of Long Leaf AME Zion Church, in Robbins, NC. She served with various groups in support of her community some of which are the Young Adult Missionary, Board of Trustees, Preacher’s Stewart Board, Women’s home and Overseas Missionary along with being a member of the Choir. She was a devoted Grandmother, Mother, Aunt, and Sister. She loved her family very much and cherished traveling to California to spend precious time with her Granddaughter.
Teresa worked in the manufacturing industry for Kayser-Roth Corporation and Klaussner Furniture Industries Inc. for many years. She also Worked in the County School System as a School bus driver for Randolph and Moore Counties where she retired from, August of 2019. She also Graduated from Randolph Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice in 2008.
Proceeding her in death was brother James Spinks, sister Jeanette Barrett, and daughter Yolanda Spinks
Teresa leaves to cherish her memories: daughter Tashenia Spinks, son Dalewyn Spinks, and granddaughter Jaidyn Spinks; four sisters Thelma Barrett, Fayetta McIntire, Andrea Spinks, Regina Matthews (Paul) and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
