Teresa Diane “Moon Spirit” DeBough, 55, of Vinita, Oklahoma, formerly of Dowagiac and Three Oaks, died from a sudden illness, Wednesday, July 3, 2013, in Saint Francis Hospital of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Teri was born June 1, 1958 in Dowagiac, Michigan to Odas and Evelyn (Ross) Bullock. Her father preceded her in death. Her mother survives. She married Lee DeBough July 24, 1993 in El Paso, Texas. He survives.
She is a proud citizen of First Nation Chickamauga. Teri graduated from Dowagiac Union High School in 1976. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and sitting on the porch swing. She is a lover and protector of all life. Teri owned the Apple Cart Florist in Three Oaks. She appeared as an extra in the movie “Prancer.” She will be remembered for her sense of humor and bringing smiles to many faces. She was kind and understanding to all she met.Teri will be greatly missed by family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Lee DeBough of Vinita, Oklahoma; two daughters, Brandy (Corey) Hitz of Welch, Oklahoma, Angie (Shawn) Frost of Skiatook, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Bryce Nichols, Chloe Hitz, Gabriel Hitz, Kambrie Pence, Cheyenne “Bella” Frost, Benjamin Hitz, Amberlynn Frost; her mother, Evelyn (Louis) Baham of Edwardsburg; one sister, Fae (Carroll) James of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania; one brother, Odis “Running Wolf” (Chris “Night Raven” Ely) Bullock, Jr. of Edwardsburg; one step brother, John Baham; one niece, Kimberly (Steve) Stickler of Elkhart; one nephew, Duane James of Elkhart; two great nieces, Mercedes James, Jesslyn James; and one great nephew, Kyle Adams.
