Tena Cheever age 97, of DeMotte, IN passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Oak Grove Christian Village, DeMotte, IN. She was born in Chicago, IL on June 1, 1915, to Lubburtes and Anna Marie (Vos) Toppen, both deceased. On September 4, 1935, she married Maurice E. Cheever, who passed away on Nov. 6, 1978. Tena was a homemaker and member of the American Reformed Church. She enjoyed her grandchildren, baking cookies, cooking, and taking time with her family.
Tena is survived by her loving daughter, Carol Klip, DeMotte, IN; 2 Grandchildren, Crystal (Rick) Rose and Kathy (Steven) Plant, both of DeMotte, IN; 4 Great-grandchildren, Richard (Christina) Rose, Ryan (Danielle) Rose, Jonathan (Julie) Plant, and David (Elizabeth) Plant. 5 Great-great grandchildren; Breanna, Hunter, Sydney, Matthew & Mallorie Rose.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Maurice, son-in-law John Klip, sister & 2 brothers.
