Tela Marie WhiteAge 70 of Owosso passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the Hospice House of Shiawassee County with her family by her side.Funeral services will be held 1pm Friday, January 19, 2018 at Life in Christ Church with Pastor Eric Numerich officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 12pm until the time of service with a luncheon to follow.Tela was born July 16, 1947 in Charleston, WV, the daughter of Woodrow and Eunice (Nelson) Shinault.She will always be remembered as a loving and caring southern gal with a heart of gold. She looked forward to family gatherings and to bake cookies with her friends and family.Tela married Douglas Eugene White in Charleston, WV on January 18, 1969; he predeceased her in July 27, 1986.She retired from Beechcraft Products in Durand and was employed for years as a waitress in Vernon.Tela is survived by her son Timothy Oneal White; daughters Tina White and Terri (Matt) Wirth; grandchildren Kevin, Dylan, Tyler and Madison; sister Della (Rick) Bailey; sister-in-law Georgia Shinault; brothers-in-law Ronald Racer and Terry Krotzer; ; many other loving family and friends.She was predeceased by her husband and parents, sisters Myralla “Tikey” Ward and Virginia “Bebe” Krotzer, brother Woodrow Chris Shinault and nieces Jenny Sue and Tammy Birchmiere and Tracey Davis.Memorial contributions are suggested to the family for memorial expenses or the Hospice House of Shiawassee County.Online condolences may be sent to the family at nelson-house.com
