Teddy “Dzadziu” Pszczolkowski, passed away peacefully at home with family at his side on Tuesday, August 19, 2014. Ted was born May 1, 1921 in Bayonne, NJ, the son of Walter and Estelle Pszczolkowski and has been a Portage resident since 1962. He served as a “Seabee” attached to the 1st Marine Division in Guadalcanal during WW II. Ted was one of the founding fathers and plant manager of IRDC.
He was a charter member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic church. Ted was known to have a good sense of humor and was one of the most wonderful and generous men around. The most important part of his life was caring for and spending time with his family.
On February 8, 1948 he married his beloved Adele Obojski Pszczolkowski who preceded him in death on November 30, 2011. Surviving are two children, Ray Marcia Pszczolkowski and Karen Henry Bennett; grandchildren, Nicole Leo Javier, Leon Carrie Bennett and Zosha Bennett and great-grandchildren, Alexsa and Ariana Javier and Luke Bennett.
