TAMI DOREEN JACKSON

Early Wednesday morning, August 10, 2022, our dearly beloved Tami fell asleep in death
unexpectedly.

Tami Doreen Jackson was born on May 2, 1975 in Plainfield, New Jersey to loving parents,
Gwendolyn Frederick Jackson and Lester Jackson. She resided in Plainfield, New Jersey with
her parents until she relocated to Los Angeles, California in 1977. She was blessed to be
raised and taught by an outstanding grandmother, Evelyn Taylor Frederick, who preceded her
in death. Her aunt, Patsy F. Robinson, who also preceded her in death, had a tremendous
influence on Tami’s life choices.

She leaves to cherish her memories, Mother, Gwendolyn Jackson; Father, Lester Jackson; Son,
Amante Frederick; Grandfather, Edward L. Frederick; Uncles, Edward L. Frederick, Jr. (Anna),
Michael Frederick, and Kenneth Frederick (Marti); Aunts, Yvette Daniels, Gail Smith (Wil
liam), and Darnetta Frederick; and a host of adoring cousins, family members and friends.
While living with her Grandmother Evelyn in Lompoc, California, she was able to attend and
graduate from Lompoc High School. Her academic achievements included training and
certification in clerical assistance, medical billing and caregiving.

Tami was a loving, kind person who assisted with caring for cousins Tamika, Lanier, Catrell
and Jasmine living with grandmother Evelyn. As well as other cousins who frequented her
grandmother’s home.

During transitioning throughout life, she was able to identify her passion of caring for others.
As an oldest grandchild, she was able to help her grandmother Evelyn care for her cousins,
foster children and friend’s children. Tami was never to busy to help her grandmothers.
Her close cousins who lived in Lompoc affectionately labeled her as the “strict babysitter”.
Serving as a documented caregiver over her adulthood journey, Tami was able to assist with
family needs.
in California. Lester Jackson, her father, was assigned under Tami’s care at the time of her
demise.

Tami was adventurous and her laugh was contagious. She was constantly seeking new

list of goals.

She receives special recognition for this effort from her Great Aunts; Mary Harley, North
Carolina; Gertrude Driver, Texas; Elaine Johnson, New Jersey; and Gladys Ross, California as
a loving niece.
