Talf Jefferson, Jr., was born on September 24, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois to the parents of Talf and Jannie Jefferson, Sr.  Jr. was the eighth child born to this union having ten sisters.  His mom often told the story of how happy his Daddy was to have a boy.  After all, he was the only male in the house so imagine how jovial he was to finally have a son!  Anyway, his Daddy was escorted off of the hospital premises by security. (smile)

Jr. confessed his love for God at an early age.  Even during his illness his faith in God was unshakeable.  He would always say, “God has the final say!”

Jr. grew up to be very handsome.  He had a unique walk, he actually rocked when he walked (a Jefferson trademark).  Jr. was educated in the Chicago Public Schools System attending John Farren Elementary School and Jean Baptiste Point DuSable High School.  Jr. went on to gain employment with the Chicago Housing Authority and worked as a janitor for over ten years.  Jr. enjoyed the simple things in life.  He enjoyed taking long walks, crossword puzzles, watching old westerns, martial arts movies and wrestling on cable TV.  He especially liked The Munsters and The King of Queens.

Jr. had a strong love for family.  He had a meek, sweet and humble spirit (Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth. –St. Matthew 5:5).

Jr. departed this life on Saturday, September 12, 2020 @ 4:57 a.m. at Loyola University  Medical Center.  He was preceded in death by both his parents, Talf and Jannie Jefferson, Sr. and sisters, Mary and Irella.
