Sylvia Mills French, age 72, of 42081 W. Duquesne Street, Columbiana, Ohio, died at 2:09 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown. She was born September 21, 1939 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Waker and Mabel (Lafferty) Endicott. Sylvia had been a cook at Derienzio’s for 30 years. She enjoyed gardening and loved visiting with her kids and grandkids. Her husband, Carl French, whom she married June 22, 1984, survives her along with her daughters, Linda (William) Marino Alesi of Salem and Lillian Mae Poling of Salem; sons, Eddie Ray (Mary) Mills of Sebring, Lonnie E. Mills of East Palestine, Ohio, James Taylor Mills of Salem and Henry J. Mills of Salem; brothers and sisters, Dorris Endicott, Robert Endicott, Laura McCoy, Oedia Woods and Clara Akers; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her brothers and sisters, Leo Endicott, Billy Clay, James Taylor Endicott, Elmo Endicott, Glenn Endicott, Lizzie Jarrell and Wonnie Endicott.
