Sylvia J. Uecker, 74, of Boerne passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020.
Sylvia Janet Rhodes was born on March 13, 1946 in Carrizo Springs, Texas to parents William Lee “Bill” Rhodes and Alma Jewel Ivy Rhodes. She was a beautiful and loving mother to many. She cared about everyone. She thought the world of her grandchildren and their many accomplishments. And although she had many hobbies, her love for animals always came first.
Sylvia was married to James D. Freeman for 36 years, and to him, she was one in a million. He was always grateful to the two exes that gave her up, for without her, his life would have been nothing. Sylvia will always be loved and missed.
Sylvia is survived by her husband, James; her sons, Matthew W. Uecker and Jeremy D. Freeman (Monica); her grandchildren, Brittany N. Graham, Kade F. Gomez, Sloan P. Gomez, Jeremy D. Freeman Jr., and Jesse James Freeman; her great-grandchildren, Chris Urrutia Jr. and Stacy A. Gomez; her son-in-law, Ju Gomez; her sister-in-law, Nancy Rhodes; and her nieces, Ashanna A. Rhodes and Carolyn Jackson.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her daughter, Stacey L. Gomez; her son, Anthony C. Rhodes; her brother, Alvin J. Rhodes; and her sister, Frances L. McIntostt.
Sylvia preferred to give rather than receive.
