Sven-GA¶ran Anders LA¶nn
Our beloved father, Morfar and Farfar, Sven-GA¶ran Anders LA¶nn, 86, returned with honor to our Heavenly Father on December 6, 2016 of ParkinsonA´s Disease and short illness with pneumonia. He was born on October 19, 1930 in Ljungby, Sweden, a son of Gunnar y Annie Johanson LA¶nn.
He married Ida Elsa Katarina Petersson on June 5, 1954 in Vislanda, Sweden. Their union was blessed with four children, Anders, Christina, Magnus and Peter. He was a wonderful husband and a loving father.
Sven-GA¶ran was a deeply spiritual man. He and his wife, Elsa, served in many capacities in their church. He was always the first to volunteer and serve in any capacity, and he was the last to leave after the cleanup and work was finished. He will be long remembered for his Christ-like attributes and wonderful personal characteristics. He was unselfish, giving, and always thinking of the needs of others. He loved to work and never worried about how long it took to finish a job. Instead, he made sure that every job was done as perfectly as possible, always making small adjustments “justeringar” to make sure the finished product met his high expectations.
He taught fine carpentry in several colleges and gymnasium schools in Sweden. He enjoyed building his own family home in Ljungby, Sweden, cutting down the perfect trees from the family forest, drying and milling each board in the old family barn. He has helped all his children build, remodel and improve their homes with great love and care. He leaves his grandchildren and great-grandchildren with playhouses and wonderful bedrooms. He was a master gardener and found great joy in sharing the produce from his huge gardens. He enjoyed working in and managing the large family forest. His greatest joy was spending time and working side by side with his beloved wife, Elsa.
