Suzette Starry Iaria, 69, of Newnan, Georgia, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014 at her home. She was born August 4, 1945 in Ocala, Florida to the late Marcus Starry and Norma Ethridge Starry. Sue’s son, Darrel Tuttle, preceded her in death. Sue grew up in Ocala, Florida and was a 1963 graduate of Ocala High School. She was a proud graduate of the University of Florida where she majored in Physical Education. Sue and her husband Nick, moved to Newnan in the mid 80’s. An avid Gator fan, Sue attended most of Florida’s home games over the years and sported the vanity car plate “Gator Sue”. Sue wore many hats in her life; she worked as a veterinary assistant, bred and showed Morgan horses, became licensed to teach American Sign Language which led her to her last job, working with the hearing impaired children in the Coweta County School System. She was passionate about “her kids”, some of whom she taught from grade school through high school. Survivors include husband, Nick Iaria of Newnan, GA; son, Marc Tuttle and wife Loraine of Cocoa Beach, FL; sisters Sylvia Starry of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, Sandra Whigham of Ft. Myers, FL, Sally Maddox of Lake Lure, NC.
