Suzanne M. ValysSuzanne passed away on April 7, 2008. These brief words cannot begin to describe her life or capture her love for people. Whatever life threw at her she handled with strength and courage. She was resilient. Born on July 26, 1938 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, she made Texas her home for most of her life, however, remained true to her “Yankee” roots. She was a natural salesperson. Her many careers included secretary, real estate and travel agent. She was optimistic. She was fun. She was quite a character. She now joins her parents John Huray and Cecilia Miko in heaven. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Anthony J. Valys of Welfare, Texas, and two brothers, Jack Huray of Newtown, Connecticut, and Thomas Huray of Pompton Plains, New Jersey. Her only child, Susan, was the love of her life. It was this love for her daughter that drove many of her life”s decisions. Susan and her husband David reside in Houston, Texas. Suzanne became a grandmother much to everyone’s joy and surprise at the age of 67. Matthew was so loved by his Grandma. The family cannot express enough thanks and gratitude to her small circle of devoted friends who watched over her until she passed away. She received compassionate care in her final days on earth from the staff at Vitas Hospice in San Antonio.
