Susan K. (Daughenbaugh) Stichter, age 59 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. She was born May 31, 1962; the daughter of the late Jack and Elinor (Keefer) Daughenbaugh. She was a 1980 graduate of Freeport High School. Suzi married Jeffrey Stichter on November 5, 1999.
She was a talented cook and worked in the food service industry at several places in the Freeport area. She was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Freeport. Suzi enjoyed puzzle books and crocheting. She was also an avid NASCAR and Chicago Bears fan. Most of all, she loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. Suzi will be remembered as a sweet person who had a heart of gold.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff Stichter of Freeport; children, Brandi (Greg) Melancon of Freeport, Tanya (Daniel Strong) Graves of Freeport, Kayla (Philip) Scudder of Freeport, Scott (Tabitha) Graves of Freeport, and Billy (Brianna Hooper) Graves of Lena, IL; 14 grandchildren; and her dog, Buddie. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Steve, Ronald, William and David Daughenbaugh; and sister, Charlene Stichter.
