Susan Lynette Crockett, 56, passed away at her residence in Franklin Monday June 16, 2014. Susan was born September 1, 1957, in Franklin, Indiana, to David T. Crockett and Dorothy Alice Crockett. Susan was married to Edward “Leo” Lynn in 1973, in Franklin Indiana, they were married for six years and had two children, April Michelle and Edward “Eddie” Leo II. Susan also had been married twice after to Michael Percifield, of Edinburgh and Keith Bowen of Indianapolis. No children from either marriage.
Susan was a member of Jobs Daughters, the Franklin Dolphinettes. She was an LPN, who suffered a work related injury, however always kept her license current with the expectation that she would be able to return to the nursing field one day. Susan enjoyed life to the fullest and lived her life her way. She had a huge heart and loved taking care of others. She was a passionate nurse, and very proud to follow her sister’s into the field of Nursing. Susan also enjoyed being out with friends dancing, singing and smiling. She also loved boating, swimming, fishing, mushrooming, and her animals. For years she worked as a breeder and with training German Shepherds, and in her final years had adopted 2 little dogs, Charlie and Tiny.
She is survived by her fiancé Roger L. Lewis, mother Dorothy Alice and step-father Waldon “Higg” Higginbotham, two children, April M. Adams (Lance) of Franklin and Edward “Eddie” L. Lynn II (Crissy) of Trafalgar, four sisters, Linda Hutchinson (Bernie) of Indianapolis, Beverly Layman (Kip) of Nineveh, Donna Clark (Bobby) of Franklin, Stephanie Lloyd (Mark) of Martinsville, step brothers, David Higginbotham (Liz) of Greenwood, Bobby Higginbotham of Franklin, Jimmy Higginbotham (Sandy) of Franklin, Denny Higginbotham (Michelle) of Franklin, step-sisters, Terry Mink (Perry) of Franklin, Lenny Purcell of Camby, nine grandchildren, Ashely, Brock, Kylee, Christopher, Bryce, Tyler (Tj), Cameron, Chaise, Kaleigh, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Keith Bowen, her grandmother Lillian McIntire-Capplinger, grandparents Wilford “Bus” and Reba Skeel.
