Susan Leigh Pakis of Paradise Valley passed away on March 11th, 2009. She was born on November 15th 1953 in Lakewood, Ohio, the only child of Gordon and Virginia Francis Sledd. She had lived with her family in Arizona for 22 years. Susan was a well known philanthropist in the valley serving as the President of the Pakis Family Foundation since its inception in 1996. She is survived by her husband Frederick Pakis; sons Geoffrey and Grant, daughter Courtney Sheldon and mother Virginia Sledd.
