Susan L. Schumacher, 78, of Bethlehem, passed away suddenly on Monday evening, April 25, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. She was the beloved wife of Stanley E. Schumacher with whom she shared 54 years of marriage. Born in Nashville TN, on June 30, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Robert L. and Elsie (Keiter) Vetters.
She received her Bachelors Degree from Butler University in Indianapolis Indiana and worked for many years as an underwriter for Guardian Life Insurance Company. Susan was raised in the Catholic faith and had been a parishioner of Sts. Simon and Jude R. C. Church in Bethlehem and in more recent years was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Bethlehem.
In addition to her husband, Stanley, she is survived by a brother, Eric Vetters and nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Vetters.
