Susan Candice Melnychuk, born August 16, 1957, passed away on October 30, 2017 in Melbourne FL., with her longtime friends Charine Lewis, Josephine Capozziello & Donna Dube by her side. Susan is a retired United States Navy veteran, having served for 25 years and attaining the rank of Cryptoligic Technician First Class. She served 2 tours in Saudi Arabia as well as other various duty stations and received several awards for her outstanding service to her country.
Upon retirement, she worked at the Ocean County Sheriff’s office as a Clerk Supervisor for the warrants unit. Prior to moving to Indialantic, FL., Susan was an active member of the St. Brendan the Navigator Pipes and Drums. She enjoyed fishing, socializing, holiday decorating and spending time with her family. Susan is predeceased by her father James Melnychuk.
Surviving are her Mother Doris E.(Reilly) Melynchuk of Toms River, a brother Vincent Curchy and his partner Stephany Miller of Nazareth, PA, A sister-in-law Donnamarie Curchy, of Toms River, a niece Monique Curchy and her fiancé Lauren Bishop and her son Anthony of Toms River, a niece Gabrielle and her husband Thomas Weyandt also of Toms River and grandniece and grandnephews Isabella Rose and Vincent Luis Curchy and Mason Michael Weyandt. Susan is a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin & friend that will truly be missed by all.
