VANDEGIESSEN, Sue Ann Scotts, Michigan, age 85, of Scotts, passed away early Saturday morning, June 20, 2015 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence.
She was born on March 5, 1930 in Battle Creek, MI, the daughter of the late Dean L. “Tim” and Gertrude Dutton Murray. On November 9, 1957, Sue was united in marriage to Robert V. VandeGiessen. She was employed as a RN by Bronson Methodist Hospital for 35 years until her retirement. At age 50, Sue began earning her post graduate degree from Western Michigan University. She was a member of Milwood United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Bob VandeGiessen; their three children, Timothy Paige VandeGiessen of Portage, Steven Terri VandeGiessen of Scotts and Julie Paul Thrasher of Vicksburg; five grandchildren, Bailey and Megan VandeGiessen, Heather and Emily VandeGiessen and Stephanie Shanon Treadwell; and brother, Jack Murray of Battle Creek.
