Sue Ann Dawes, 76, of Trout Run, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 14, 2020.

Born April 10, 1943 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Lester E. and Helen L. (Moyer) Crouse. She was married on July 22, 1961, to her husband, C. Jay Dawes, who passed away on Feb. 11, 2005. She was the mother of four sons.

Sue Ann is survived by her brother, Dale L. Crouse (Candy); her sons, Rev. Michael (Barbara), David (Connie), and Daniel (Meredith); her grandchildren, Drew (Cara), Tori (Billy), Sondra and Lauren; and her great-grandchildren, Aurora, Sylvan and J.J. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her youngest son, Jeremy, in 1985.
Sue Ann was a passionate servant of her Lord Jesus and had a heart for children. She was a vibrant member of Trout Run United Methodist Church. There, she taught Elementary Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years. She served on various committees and boards, and in numerous ministries of the church throughout her life. Sue Ann was also active in the United Methodist Women where she served as a Williamsport District officer and as a teacher and a dean of the Children’s School at the Schools of the Christian Mission. She was a member of United Methodist Women’s Ubuntu Mission team to Cambodia in 2007. Sue Ann also served on the Lewis Township election board, was a president of the Lewis Township Elementary P.T.A., and a Cub Scout Den Mother.
