Stuart Roger Williams of Mahwah and formerly of Tenafly passed away on May 21, 2016 after a determined and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Stu was a 1973 graduate of Tenafly H.S., attended Bethany College in West Virginia receiving a B.A. in physical education, followed by a Masters degree in exercise science from Florida St. University in 1979.
Stu had a love for all sports and was a devoted Yankee fan and of Florida State athletics. Stu ran track in high school and college and later developed a passion for tennis and reached a ranking of 13th by the Eastern Tennis association in the 40 and over age group. Stu was always an advocate for being fit and living a healthy lifestyle, and was a long tenured member and regular user of the Odyssey Health Club in Waldwick. Stu had an easy going and friendly personality and was a friend with all he came in contact with.
Stu was predeceased by his parents, Dr. Roger and Marjorie Williams and is survived by his sister, Barbara Maxwell, brother-in-law, Daryl, and nephew, Ben, of Bloomington Illinois.
