Newark – Stewart LaVerne Davis, 81 of Blackmar Street died Saturday, May 18, 2002 at Via Health of Wayne – Newark Campus.
Family and friends may call Monday (May 20) from 6-9 at the Norman L.
Mr. Davis was born the son of George and Beatrice Marriott Davis on June 1, 1920 in Newark, New York. He worked at Fold-Pak for 34 years retiring in 1982. He enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and hunting.
Mr. Davis was a member of the Newark VFW Post 2883.
Mr. Davis is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Esther Herman Davis; sons Robert Davis of Lyons and Richard (Pat) Davis of Newark; daughter Nancy (James) O’Neill of Newark; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother Vaughn Davis of Lodi; sisters Gerrie Brink of Newark, Betty Dunhum and Oney (Clarence) Reubens both of Georgia; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Davis was predeceased by his grandson, brother Bernard and sister Molly Tellier.
