Steven T. Do passed November 1, 2020. Kind hearted, caring, goofy and all around sweet boy…that is who Steven Trung Do always was and always will be. Born on November 2, 1999 to Nghia Nguyen and Minh Do, Steven was the youngest sibling to Son Le, Lam Le and Donna Nguyen.
With such a bright personality, came many plans and sweet words. His family smiles at the memories of how he could convince his Mom and babysitter to make his favorite Vietnamese dish of pork with eggs. In fact, they vividly recall him saying, “Mommy, your pork and eggs are good, but babysitter’s pork and eggs are better because she has gray hair.” As he grew, he became a real foodie. Steven was constantly snacking, getting milkshakes, Thai Tea and going to his favorite restaurants.
Steven’s love for others and hobbies just continued to grow and grow. He was a collector of cars as a young boy. He had boxes full of them and even had the special racecar bedframe. He would smile from ear to ear when showing them to others, but would also share without any hesitation. So it is no surprise that he kept his eye on his goal and got his dream car, Subaru WRX, by the age of 18. Then, being the gracious person that he was, he made sure to save those toy cars and pass it on to his nephews. He wanted them to find joy in the same things he did when he was their age.
When speaking with those within his community, majority would say that he was a great student, goofy person because he loved to see others smile, and passionate athlete. As a wrestler, he woke up early to train, kept a strict diet, continued to heal and train with a torn meniscus and broken nose. He was a wonderful person to have in one’s presence and committed himself to be a part of his community.
Steven is truly missed by family and many dear friends that will always hold a special place for him in our hearts. He is survived by his grandmothers: Nam & Tinh; parents, Nghia and Minh; Siblings: Son, Nhien, Donna, Pedro,& Holly; Significant Partner: Evelyn Tran (Hunyun BAE); Nieces & Nephews: Melanie, Luke, Sang, Hai, & My-Kim
