Steve attended from East Detroit High School, was an avid CB Radio enthusiast and his handle was “Baracuda”, he enjoyed working on cars and was formerly employed at Car Quest in Bay City.He is survived by two daughters; Chrissy Harthausen and her fiancée Terry Coon and Lisa McAlister, one son; John McAlister and his special friend Tiffany, two grandchildren; Jacob McAlister and Katie Harthhausen, his parents; Hardy and Kathleen “Katie” McAlister of Livingston, TN, two sisters; Jenny Thorner of Pensacola, FL and Anita and Bill Schmidt of Arab, Alabama, his nieces and nephews; Amanda and Jason Dherin, Don Thorner III, Nick Schmidt, Dan and Lindsey Schmidt, great nieces and nephews; Savannagh Schmidt, Cameron and Jonah Dherin, many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother; David McAlister.
