Steven E. “Steve” Lester, 56, of Elkhart, passed away Monday morning, Dec. 23, 2013, at Elkhart General Hospital.
Steve was born Dec. 28, 1956, in Charleston, W.Va., to the late Edward and Zelma (Vance) Lester.
He married Linda Bloss on June 7, 1980.
Linda survives as well as their children, Lucas (Maria) Lester and Rodney (Chenda) Lester, both of Bristol; and his six loving grandchildren, Nicholas, Aaliyah, Glenn, Elaine, Xiaou and Chantavie. His brothers and sisters in West Virginia, Delores Barnet, Mike (Judy) Lester, Ronnie (Ann) Lester and Robin (Danny) Gray; and his brother, Tommy (Diane) Lester of Elkhart; survive as well.
Steve formerly worked for Dexter Axle as a welder for 28 years. He enjoyed fishing and listening to all kinds of music. However, the times he cherished the most were spent with his children and grandchildren.
