Steven Craig Smith, age 58, of Fort Walton Beach, FL, formerly of Navarre, FL, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 23, 2016. Steven was born on March 1, 1957, in Huntsville, AL, to John W. and Bonnie Allen Smith. He had lived in the area for the past 40 years moving here from North Carolina. He was Protestant by faith. He loved fishing and had some special “Honey Holes” established. He was also known as “Captain Hammer” by his brother and best friend Mark. He was a talented Carpenter by trade. Steve was a very simple person and had a good heart and especially loved his sons and his grandson.
He was preceded in death by his father, John W. Smith and his brother, Mark. Survivors include his loving mother Bonnie; 2 sons, Kyle and Benjamin; sister; Carol Nielsen (Tim); grandson, Kendrick Smith; extended family & friends in Fort Walton Beach, Fl. He will be loved and missed.
