Steven Alan McCarthy, 68, of Wakefield, Virginia passed away at his home on February 8, 2024. He was a son of the late Herman Riddick McCarthy and Bessie Nelson McCarthy.He was an active member and sang in the choir at the Wakefield United Methodist Church. He retired from Sears in Colonial Heights as a sales manager in the auto service center and a former realtor with Hampton Roads Real Estate. Steven was an alumni of Tidewater Community College with additional studies at UVA, Charlottesville with GRI designation.He is survived by his wife JoAnne Clark McCarthy; brother, David Herman McCarthy (Donna); several nieces and nephews and his canine “fur babies” Taylor and Lucy Lu “Lulu”.
