Steven A. Staples passed away peacefully at home in Stoughton on August 8th, 2022, after a brief illness at the age of 39. He spent his last days surrounded by his family and a host of friends who loved him dearly.

Steve was born November 22, 1982 in Stoughton, MA to Donald H. (SFD) and Diane M. (Albert) Staples. He graduated from Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School in 2001 and worked for many years in the autobody repair industry, making countless friends along the way. He was most recently employed by Centerville Autobody in Brockton, MA.

Steve is survived by his pride and joy, his son and best friend Steven A. Staples Jr. He was happiest cheering Junior on at the baseball field, messing around in the backyard with 4 wheelers, dirt bikes, or a potato gun, and fishing on any body of water he found himself near (preferably the Cape Cod Canal). The Steves had a bond like no other and Steve was the most proud, fun, and loving Dad you’d ever meet.

In addition to his loving parents and son, Steve is also survived by his brother Daniel J. Staples, Dan’s partner Beth Harrison, their daughter Charlotte Louise Staples, his brother Aaron Burkett, and Steven Jr.’s mother Melissa Bacon. He leaves many aunts, uncles, and cousins whom he loved so dearly, as well as a group of best friends too numerous to mention who are left to mourn him and celebrate his life. He was predeceased by his brother, Dennis Staples, sister Dina Staples, Cousin Todd Albert, and grandparents Herb and Marge Staples of Stoughton, MA, and Donald and Harriet Albert of Randalia, IA.

Funny, easygoing, kind, and always the first to lend a hand when someone needed help, Steve leaves a legacy of love and friendship that will live on in all who were blessed to know him.
