Stephen Wayne Gravely, 54, of 117 East Swathmore Ave., Apt. 3E, High Point, NC, formerly of 3553 Longview Dr., Collinsville, VA died Thursday, December 24, 2009 at his residence. Born September 29, 1955 in Martinsville, VA, Stephen was a son of Andrew L. Gravely, Sr. and Ruth Hodges Gravely. Stephen graduated from Fieldale-Collinsville High School in 1973 and received the Fieldale-Collinsville High School Distinguished Service Award 1972-1973. He graduated from Virginia Tech in 1988. He had worked for Erath Veneer in Rocky Mount, VA for several years prior to his working for Ornamental Mouldings as Plant Controller in Archdale, NC until his death. Stephen was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents of Collinsville, Stephen is survived by a sister and fiancée, Nancy G. Mason and Dean Gusler of Franklin County; by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Andrew “A.L.†Gravely, Jr. and wife Georgia J. Gravely of Franklin County and Thomas G. Gravely and wife Stephanie Gravely of Kernersville, NC; by a special niece, Katie Gravely and a special nephew, Matthew Gravely and by several nieces and nephews.
