Stephen M. Rhudy Sr., 55, East Ridge, died Saturday, February 10, 2007, in a local health care facility. He was a longtime resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas and was a Baptist. Mr. Rhudy had been employed with the Walker County Correctional Facility and the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office and had been self-employed for the last few years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. Mr. Rhudy was preceded in death by his father, William Delmont Rhudy. Survivors are sons, Major Stephen (Tonya) Mitchell Rhudy Jr., Ft. Irwin, Calif., Michael Alan (Leigh) Rhudy, Rossville; daughter, Laura E. (Adam) Goodwin, East Ridge; mother, Laura Mae Rhudy; brothers, Gary Rhudy, Ringgold, Kenneth Rhudy, Lewisburg, Tenn.; grandchildren, Symantha and Trevor Rhudy, Alex, Drew, and Ally Goodwin.
