Stephen Lewis, 34, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana died Friday, May 17, 2013 from injuries sustained in a work related accident. Steve was born June 21, 1978 in Michigan City, Indiana to Timothy and Maria (Povlock) Lewis. He graduated from New Prairie High School in 1997. Steve had a strong work ethic, at home and at H & G Plumbing.
He was a member of the Laborers Union Local # 645. Steve married Jodi Craig on December 23, 2005 in LaPorte, Indiana. He was a true outdoors man, enjoying dirt biking, camping, tandem biking, golf cart rides, mushroom hunting, grilling, fishing, and spending time with friends and family around the bonfire.
Steve was hilarious and witty, always finding a way to make people laugh. He liked working on his corvette, and was creative, artistic and innovative. Steve loved his friends and family, especially his wife and daughtersSurvivors include his wife, Jodi; children, Alexis, Mallory and Tori; mother, Maria Lewis of Rolling Prairie; sister Monica Lewis of Heston, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
His father, Tim, preceded him in death April 11, 2012.
