Stephen Jerome Kinder, 70, of Malden, MO, formerly of Centralia, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017 at his home.

Stephen was born March 11, 1947 in Effingham, IL, the son of Marion Jeremiah Kinder and Emma Maxine (Ludington) Quick.

Stephen is survived by his mother: Maxine Quick of Centralia; seven daughters: Tonya Kinder of Carlyle, IL, Katrice Keenan and husband Larry of Holbrook, NY, Gina Branon and husband Shane of Wamac, IL, Brittni “Laney” Kinder of Malden, MO, Kaylee and husband Kevin Comstock of Savannah, GA, Chelsea Kinder of Cape Girardeau, MO, Makenzi Kinder of Cape Girardeau, MO; nineteen grandchildren: Marissa Barrow, Mitchell Keenan, Tori Keenan, Joshua Keenan , Luke Keenan, Damon Branon, Shane Branon, Chase Branon, Blade Branon, Brayden Wysocki, Brylee Wysocki, Braxtyn Wysocki, Paisley Kinder and Cambree Comstock; three great grandchildren: Harper Schultze, Camdyn and Carter Branon; one brother: Rick Kinder and wife Donna of Sevierville, TN; one sister: Pam Brown and husband John of Cape Girardeau, MO; special friend: Diane Aumiller of Malden, MO.

Stephen was preceded in death by his father: Marion Jeremiah Kinder; step-father: Claud Quick; brother: Mark Quick; sister: Tomi Baldridge; grandson: Justen Barrow.

Stephen Graduated from Centralia High School in 1965 and graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He was a pharmacist for almost 50 years. He was the guitar player in the band The Epics for over 50 years. He was a member of the Boogaloo Rider’s Bike Club in Kennett, MO. He was an avid pool player at Chuck’s Place in Malden, MO. He was of the Catholic Faith. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends
