Stephen Jay Banwart, son of Dr. Patricia (Banwart) Revely and Ellsworth Revely, was born on July 2, 1969 in Topeka, Kansas. Stephen and his mom lived in several cities as she studied to obtain her medical degree. However, always calling West Bend “home” they returned to West Bend and Steve graduated from West Bend High School. After graduation, Steve entered the United States Navy and served from 1990-1994. In 1990, Steve was united in marriage with Kris Wichtendahl in San Diego, CA. To this union, 3 sons were born: Elijah, Gabriel and Isaiah. After Steve’s discharge from the Navy, he and his family returned to the West Bend area. Steve was an extremely talented and gifted artist with a great ability to draw and paint portraits and still life. He created and had a copyright issued on his cartoon character named “Frisbe”.  Stephen also excelled in music and playing the guitar. His cousins and friends remember Steve for his unique sense of humor. When the boys were young, Steve enjoyed the many vacations they were able to share together. Steve is survived by his 3 sons: Elijah, Gabriel and Isaiah, his mother, Patricia Banwart, wife Kris Banwart and a half- brothers and half sisters, several aunts, uncles, cousins and their families. He was preceded in death by his father, Ellsworth Scott Revely, his maternal grandparents Art and Madeline Banwart, and his paternal grandparents.
