Stephen E. “Steve” Irving II, 71, of Meredosia, died Friday, Feb. 19, 2016, at Prairie Village Healthcare Center in Jacksonville.
He was born Oct. 9, 1944, in Quincy, the son of Stephen Edward “Tubby” and Mary Rozella Lerch Irving. He married Betty J. Gregory Brown on Oct. 13, 1981, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 19, 2007.
He is survived by one son, Stephen Edward (April) Irving III of Perry; his grandchildren; and two sisters, Judy (Ronald) Hull of Chambersburg and Roxy Werries of Meredosia. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister in infancy, Iris Kay.
Mr. Irving was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He loved music and having coffee with his friends.
