Stephen E. Bodnar, age 95, longtime resident of Milford and beloved husband to the late Harlene (Pat) Stygles Bodnar, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Golden Hill Health Care of Milford. Born in Fairfield, CT on May 8, 1917, he was the son of the late Steven and Margaret Soltis Bodnar. Stephen served with pride and honor as a Sargent in the Army Air Corp during WWII in the Pacific. He was a retired employee of Caldor’s and was a manager at Town Fair Tires in Stratford. He was an avid fan of the NY Yankees, both UCONN Basketball teams and loved boating and photography.
Stephen is survived by a son, David Senese and his wife Paula of Orlando, FL; a daughter, Robin Senese and her significant other, Patrick Thomas of West Haven; brother, Leonard Bodnar and his wife, Mary of Milford; sister, Elaine Bodnar of Wallingford and many loving and caring nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Margaret Allen and Grace Meyn both of Milford. Many thanks to his extended family, Betty and Alan Waterman of Milford and to Milford Hospital and Golden Hill staff for all of their devoted care of Steve.
