Stephen D. Reed, 65, of 1165 Canterbury Road, went home to be with his Lord, Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center Emergency Room.
Steve and his wife, the former Heather R. DeWeerdt, celebrated their 42nd anniversary on November 9, 2010.
Steve owned and operated six Subway franchises for over 20 years side by side with his wife and sons. As a true leader and pioneer, he will be sorely missed. He previously was Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at the former C. A. Reed Company which his grandfather founded.
Steve was a 1963 graduate of Williamsport High School, a 1967 graduate of Lycoming College, and a member of Faith Wesleyan Church. Steve treasured the time spent with his family.
Born September 29, 1945 in Williamsport, he was the son of C. David and Jean Gamble Reed.
Surviving besides his wife, are his mother, Jean Reed Snyder, of Montoursville; sons Brian E. (Sara) Reed of Williamsport and Matthew D. Reed of Linden; a brother, G. Thomas (Cynthia) Reed of Hilton Head, S.C.; a sister, Deborah J. (James) Lakis of South Williamsport; and grandchildren, Zachary, Myca, Gabriel and Elijah.
